The Many Facets of Family Philanthropy

August 15 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT

How do different families approach their giving? Is there a single, homogeneous model that works for everyone? You’re invited to join us for an enlightening conversation on the many facets of family philanthropy with subject matter experts Miki Akimoto and Elizabeth Wong. From discussing the ups and downs of family giving to defining who constitutes “family” in a foundation, you’ll hear real-life examples of how today’s philanthropic families are navigating the highs, and yes sometimes, the lows of their charitable giving.

In this session, we’ll also cover:

  • Adapting best practices
  • Defining what it means to participate
  • Rethinking who is eligible to participate
  • Crafting invitations and strong onboarding practices for engaging in the family’s giving
  • Key takeaways for common scenarios
