FAIRFIELD, Conn., Foundation Source, the leading provider of philanthropic software and services, has been named the winner of the Philanthropy category at the 2026 Wealth Management Industry Awards (“The Wealthies”), making this the third consecutive year the company has received the honor.

The recognition follows another year of expansion for Foundation Source as it has continued to enhance the industry’s only fully integrated charitable platform, spanning private foundations, donor-advised funds, and planned giving. Recent enhancements – including endowment subaccounting, fiscal sponsorship, and a university DAF program – further extend the platform across the charitable giving lifecycle, giving advisors and institutions more ways to incorporate philanthropy into broader wealth management relationships.

“Advisors are increasingly expected to address every aspect of a client’s financial life, including charitable giving, yet the infrastructure hasn’t historically kept pace with client demand,” said Joseph Mrak III, CEO of Foundation Source. “We’ve built the technology and infrastructure to bring charitable giving into the broader wealth management relationship, while handling the operational complexity so advisors can focus on their clients’ goals and impact.”

Foundation Source has built out these capabilities through a combination of strategic acquisitions, product expansion, and enterprise partnerships. The company has acquired Vennfi, the fintech powering donor-advised fund sponsor Charityvest; PG Calc, the leader in planned giving software and services; Giving Place, a software platform for family office giving; and Pacific Foundation Services, which expanded the firm’s ability to serve large, complex foundations.

That expansion has also driven significant growth. Assets under administration increased from $26 billion at year-end 2024 to more than $55 billion at year-end 2025, while grant dollars facilitated grew from $2.8 billion to $4 billion over the same period.

“We’re honored to be recognized for the third consecutive year,” Mrak said. “It’s a testament to our team’s commitment to making philanthropy an integrated part of the wealth management experience. As we continue to grow, our focus remains the same: giving advisors and institutions the technology, expertise, and infrastructure they need to help clients turn charitable intent into meaningful, measurable impact.”

Now in its 12th year, the Wealth Management Industry Awards recognize outstanding achievements by companies, organizations, and individuals that support financial advisor success. The 2026 awards drew a record 1,392 entries from 315 companies.

“The growth of the Wealthies reflects both the expanding range of organizations serving advisors and the extraordinary amount of work being done to help advisors build stronger businesses and improve outcomes for their clients,” said David Armstrong, Head of Editorial Operations, Wealth Management Group. “Our independent judges evaluate the usefulness, innovation, scope and impact of each initiative – not the company behind it. To be named a finalist, and especially a winner, is meaningful recognition in a year with a record field.”

The Wealthies evaluate nominated initiatives based on quantitative measures including scope, scale, adoption, and feature set, along with qualitative measures such as innovation, creativity, and user experience.
