Charles R. Casey

President of Premier Foundation Services

Charles “Charlie” Casey joined Foundation Source through the acquisition of Pacific Foundation Services (PFS), where he was CEO for more than 20 years. PFS was founded in 1987 by his family to provide back-office and programmatic support to local philanthropists and family foundations. Under Mr. Casey’s leadership, PFS expanded considerably while staying focused on nurturing client relationships and maintaining the highest level of responsive, professional service.

At Foundation Source, Mr. Casey will continue to oversee the retention and expansion of all PFS client relationships, as well as assuming the role of president of Premier Foundation Services where he will be responsible for business development with large, complex foundations that want specialized support.

Prior to PFS, he was an M&A consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Chile and held several roles in corporate marketing.

Mr. Casey’s board service work dovetails with his programmatic interests in youth development, affordable housing, health systems, and sustainable agriculture. He currently serves on the boards of the Tipping Point Community, Bothin Foundation, and Cypress Lawn Cemetery Association. Prior board service includes St. Francis Memorial Hospital, where he chaired the Finance Committee and serving as board president of Pie Ranch and the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC).
Mr. Casey has an MBA from Vanderbilt University and a BA in English from Georgetown University. A fifth-generation San Franciscan, he lives in the city with his wife and three daughters. He can often be found at Oracle Park cheering on his beloved Giants.
