Happy Featured Friday where we spotlight one of our amazing Foundation Source employees! We are so excited to continue this series with Jayne de Gant, who is celebrating 18 years at Foundation Source this month! Keep reading to learn about Jayne’s experience and her role as a Senior Account Implementations Specialist.

When and why did you join Foundation Source?

I started with Foundation Source in July 2004, in the Inside Sales Department (now Business Development). At the time, I was looking for part-time employment, doing something worthwhile, but still having time to ‘be there’ after school for my two daughters.

What do you love about working at Foundation Source?

I love the opportunity to help people get started on their philanthropic journeys. I really enjoy the people I work with, and everyone’s shared purpose.

What is the best part of your job?

Watching our clients get excited about the services we offer and seeing them understand how we make their philanthropic goals easy to achieve.

What do you look forward to each day?

I look forward to speaking with fellow employees and clients and getting the information necessary to move forward with onboarding.

Senior Account Implementations Specialists

What does your job entail?

I onboard new and existing foundations, establish connectivity to their foundation accounts, and provide assistance to other departments as much as I can, to get all information needed. On an ongoing basis, I help to connect with any new foundation accounts, update governance, and ensure we have proper documentation for each foundation. I am also involved with training new employees, from an Account Services perspective.

What is your team like and what has your experience been with company culture?

The people on my team are wonderful. We all pitch in to get the job done and look for ways to help each other. Company culture is good with attention being paid to items that seem to be ‘missing the mark’ and everyone appears to be working toward the same goals.

What has been your favorite project at Foundation Source?

I’ve been with Foundation Source for almost 18 years and have worked on many worthwhile projects. One of my favorite projects was working with colleagues to develop our Salesforce Client Onboarding Record and Implementation Workbench. We use Salesforce consistently, and these items help keep us organized.

What has been your biggest accomplishment since joining Foundation Source?

Gaining the respect of my colleagues. Having people come to me as a resource and being able to provide information about ‘where to go’ if I don’t have the answers.

How have you grown professionally while on our team?

I made the move from Business Development to Implementations in 2006, and since then, have been promoted to Senior Account Implementations Specialist. The job requires attention to detail, flexibility, and a lot of specific knowledge with regard to setting up a private foundation. I’ve acquired the skills to be successful at what I do.

In your opinion, what makes the Foundation Source team special?

The people who have grown with Foundation Source have the same goals—to provide our clients with great support, respond quickly to questions, and to share their knowledge with their colleagues.

What parts of Foundation Source’s mission do you connect with?

Creating a better world with philanthropy.

What is a memorable client experience you’ve had or heard about?

I love hearing how our clients are impacting climate change and women’s rights. On a personal note, it’s always a good feeling to have a client email about how smooth our onboarding process is, and/or a Financial Advisor I’ve worked with emailing with a potential client they’d like to introduce to Foundation Source.

What advice would you give to someone who doesn’t know about Foundation Source or may be thinking about joining the team?
