Gary Pforzheimer

President, Planned Giving

One of the leading voices in the fundraising community, Gary Pforzheimer is an expert in planned gift development and the administration, marketing and technology that drives successful planned giving. As President of Planned Giving, he draws on more than forty years of philanthropic experience to oversee the design of Foundation Source’s innovative planned giving solutions and software.

Mr. Pforzheimer joined Foundation Source through the acquisition of PG Calc, a company he founded in 1985 and led for more than 35 years as it became the leading provider of planned giving services and software.

He is active in many nonprofit organizations. He is the Board Chair for Breaktime, an organization founded to break the cycle of homelessness by equipping young adults with the job and financial security they need to establish housing security, and was the former President of Temple Israel, Boston, and served as the Chair of the National Association of Gift Planners (CGP).

Mr. Pforzheimer received the David Donaldson Distinguished Service award from the Planned Giving Group of New England (PGGNE) in 1995 and was inducted into the CGP Hall of Fame in 2020. Mr. Pforzheimer received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Harvard College in 1984 and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 1991.

He and his wife live in Belmont MA, close to the Planned Giving office in Harvard Square.
