President and Chief Executive Officer
Sunil Garga is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Foundation Source and is responsible for the vision, strategy, and growth of the company with a goal of increasing its capabilities for private foundations and the broader philanthropic community. Mr. Garga also oversees strategic investments in people and technology that complement the company’s deep expertise in private foundation management and in providing expert consulting and technology solutions that help clients pursue their philanthropic visions and establish their legacies.
A visionary leader and entrepreneur, Mr. Garga has a 25-year record of helping companies realize their potential. He is the founder of two successful and forward-thinking companies that, like Foundation Source, combine professional services, technology, and consulting. Under his leadership, both firms delivered highly innovative industry-leading solutions to major companies and achieved tremendous growth.
Vice President of Product & Strategy
As Vice President of Product & Strategy, Steve Aponte works closely with the CEO, board of directors, and key stakeholders to drive the company’s product strategy, build product roadmaps, and prioritize impactful initiatives for customers, philanthropic enterprises, and the company.
Prior to joining Foundation Source, Mr. Aponte’s career spanned 20+ years in product management for a number of technology companies, including Resideo Technologies, Inc. (formerly a Honeywell division) as Global Head of Software Product Management & Innovation; Valiant Solutions as Vice President and Head of Product; Altice USA (formerly Cablevision Systems Corp.) as Director of Product Management; Intelligent Product Solutions as General Manager and Head of Product; and others.
Mr. Aponte is an active member at a local church congregation, an active supporter of JDRF, a global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research, and loves spending time with his wife, three girls, two dogs and large extended family. He is also a single-digit handicap golfer.
Mr. Aponte graduated with a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School and holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from SUNY Empire State College.
Director of Human Resources
Virginia Egan is Director of Human Resources at Foundation Source. She reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for managing all company HR functions, which include employee relations, performance management, training, staffing and recruiting, onboarding and separations, benefits administration, payroll, compliance and audits, and policy development and management.
Prior to Foundation Source, Ms. Egan was Corporate HR Generalist and Office Manager for Northern Tier Energy LLC in Ridgefield, CT, and Vice President of Operations for Cable Ready Corporation in Stamford, CT.
Ms. Egan holds a Bachelor of Arts from Connecticut College.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and twin daughters, walking their dog, watching their daughter’s college lacrosse games, and practicing yoga.
hannah shaw grove
Chief Marketing Officer
As Chief Marketing Officer, Hannah Shaw Grove is responsible for developing the marketing strategy and corporate brand identity to align with the strategic vision of the company. She is also responsible for all aspects of the firm’s marketing activities: raising awareness of Foundation Source’s expertise and services with philanthropists, financial advisors, attorneys, accountants, family offices, the philanthropic sector, and the media.
Ms. Grove has spent three decades studying and working with successful families, family offices, and their closest advisors on achieving their wealth management priorities. She is the author of 11 books, a founder of Private Wealth magazine, and has been a regular contributor to Forbes.com, Robb Report, Worth, and other well-known publications. Previously Ms. Grove has been the Chief Marketing Officer at Apex Clearing, iCapital Network, and Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (acquired by BlackRock). She has also held strategic management roles at Prudential Financial and Fidelity Investments.
Ms. Grove graduated cum laude from Harvard University with an ALB in humanities and holds the FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, 26 and 63 licenses.
National Director of Corporate Finance
Erin Harrigan is National Director of Corporate Finance for Foundation Source. She is responsible for the company’s financial and performance reporting, budgeting, and corporate accounting function.
Prior to joining Foundation Source, Ms. Harrigan was vice president of financial planning and analysis, for Fortress Investment Group in New York City; and a financial analyst for multiple business units of United Technologies Corporation, based in Hartford, CT.
Ms. Harrigan holds a Bachelor of Science from Fairfield University. She lives in Fairfield, CT with her husband and three young children.
Jeffrey D. Haskell
Chief Legal Officer
As Chief Legal Officer at Foundation Source, Jeffrey Haskell is responsible for providing guidance on legal and tax issues to the foundations that the company serves.
Mr. Haskell works with and provides guidance to a team of attorneys, accountants, and support professionals who provide tax reporting services to clients of the company as well as support to foundations and their advisors on a range of issues including Program- and Mission-Related Investments, grants to individuals, expenditure responsibility grants, equivalency determinations, scholarship and award programs, set-aside projects, return preparation, and compliance with self-dealing, minimum required distributions, excess business holdings, jeopardizing investments, and taxable expenditure rules.
Prior to joining Foundation Source, Mr. Haskell was an associate at the law firms of Kronish Leib Weiner & Hellman LLP and Olshan Grundman Frome Rosenzweig & Wolosky, in the Tax and Trusts and Estates departments. Prior to joining Olshan Grundman, Mr. Haskell worked at Coopers & Lybrand in the Business Tax Planning Group.
Mr. Haskell is involved in pro bono work for public charities and has served as an adjunct lecturer at Baruch College of Accountancy, where he taught corporate tax law. Articles by Mr. Haskell have appeared in Trusts & Estates and Taxation of Exempts magazines, and in Cardozo Law Review. Additionally, he is a frequent speaker on the rules and regulations pertaining to private foundations.
Mr. Haskell is a graduate of Yeshiva University and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was a member of the Cardozo Law Review. He received a Masters of Law in Taxation from New York University School of Law, where he was a member of the NYU Tax Law Review.
Gillian Howell is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the Client Services and Philanthropy Advisory Services functions. In this newly created role she will lead teams of seasoned client management and philanthropic advisory specialists as they help individual, family and corporate foundations achieve their charitable objectives with greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Ms. Howell brings more than 30 years of executive and philanthropic management experience. Previously, she served in multiple philanthropic leadership roles for Bank of America, most recently as Managing Director and Philanthropic Market Executive for New England. Her earlier roles include heading up the Bank of America Charitable Gift Fund and the National Private Philanthropy Executive, a role in which she was a top-producing leader of the private philanthropic sales and relationship management team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. During her 31-year tenure at Bank of America and its predecessor organizations, she collaborated with high-net-worth donors, private foundations, donor-advised funds and nonprofits on strategic planning, donor development, mission advancement, next generation engagement and board governance, as well as philanthropic investments and fiduciary and risk management.

As Chief Operating Officer, Estee Shor has overall responsibility for ensuring the smooth, efficient operations of the company. This includes implementing innovative projects that help the company grow and scale; ensuring tax and legal compliance for all client transactions and processes handled by Foundation Source; and ensuring appropriate pricing of services and accurate billing of clients. In addition, she is responsible for making sure all employees are properly trained and have the resources they need to carry out their duties; that service level agreements are met; and that employees follow company policies and procedures.
Ms. Shor is involved in pro bono work for private foundations and public charities and has served on the New York City Bar Association’s Committee on Non-Profit Organizations.
Ms. Shor is a graduate of Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she concentrated in taxation and was a member of the Tax Clinic. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Queens College of the City University of New York, where she graduated magna cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
As Chief Revenue Officer, Mary Ann Stover is responsible for aligning business development with the strategic vision of the company. She manages all aspects of the firm’s sales activities and strategic alliances, bringing philanthropic expertise to foundations, individuals, financial advisors, attorneys, accountants, and family offices. Ms. Stover has been grounded in the sector for decades.
Prior to joining Foundation Source, Ms. Stover spent years at The Pew Charitable Trusts, first as a Program Officer and later as the Chief Officer for Program Administration. In these roles, she planned and managed a portfolio of complex grantmaking projects, then supported the President in planning, administration, budgeting, and communications of all grantmaking. Previously Ms. Stover held positions at Temple University and Booz-Allen Hamilton as well as at nonprofits.
Ms. Stover holds a Masters of Law and Social Policy as well as a Masters in Social Services (with a concentration in advocacy, planning and programs) from Bryn Mawr College’s Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. She also completed an executive education course on strategic planning and decision making from Wharton Business School. Ms. Stover graduated with honors from Florida Tech with a BS in Biology.
Pascal Vincent provides leadership for the continued development of an innovative, robust, and secure information technology environment throughout the company, with primary responsibility for security, governance, and policy; resource allocation; and operations. He supervises and has responsibility for the team that develops and maintains the proprietary Foundation Source software, such as Foundation Source Online, and our backend administrative software platforms.
As the former vice president of engineering at Artemis Health and NICE inContact, and CTO at Serenova, Mr. Vincent brings more than 15 years of engineering leadership experience in developing scalable and reliable products. With Artemis Health, he oversaw all aspects of engineering, working in partnership with product development, and ensured a “one team, one dream” model. With NICE inContact, he fulfilled similar responsibilities, with an emphasis on scalability and quality in software delivery.
