Every year following the hustle and bustle of the busy giving season, we’re always amazed at the generosity of philanthropists and the hardworking professional teams who support them. These past few weeks proved no different as we saw grants and dollars going out the door right up until the last moments of 2024. Now that the dust has settled, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on what was truly a transformative year here at Foundation Source. In this edition of our Executive Insights Series, we’re giving the floor to our CEO Joe Mrak to share his thoughts on our company’s expansion—and the big milestones we’ve reached together.
As we start a new year, I want to take a moment to reflect on all that we have accomplished together. 2024 was a year of significant transformation for Foundation Source – we worked hard, made bold moves, and reached big milestones on our growth strategy. A key part of our transformation is expanding and strengthening our enterprise capabilities for banks and financial firms, helping us grow, scale and provide more families and organizations with modern philanthropic solutions.
I’ve highlighted a handful of key wins that I believe will provide both the basis and the momentum for our future success.
- We strategically expanded our solution set with the acquisitions of PG Calc and Vennfi, a combination of two well-respected companies that give us one of the most extensive and competitive charitable offerings in the industry.
- Continuous innovation in our development roadmap is enabling us to better serve enterprises and advisory practices, while making incremental enhancements to the UI/UX and functionality of our core platforms.
- Through our private foundation clients, we facilitated more than 53,000 grants representing approximately $1.6 billion in charitable aid.
- We were recognized with three industry awards for product innovation and philanthropic solutions at the WealthBriefing Wealth for Good Awards, the WealthManagement.com Industry Awards and the ThinkAdvisor Luminaries Awards.
There is much to be excited about as we begin 2025 and I’m confident that together we’ll have more extraordinary accomplishments that will reinforce our expertise and help us emerge as the partner-of choice for tech-enabled philanthropic solutions.
